A new logo for Cazaudehore

Cazaudehore La Forestiere, Relais & Châteaux in Saint Germain en Laye, changes its logo and shortens its name.

From Cazaudehore “La Forestière”, we keep only the strong name of its founding family, managing the property since 1928: Cazaudehore.
An exclusive name for a remarkable and singular place, embodying the Art de Vivre & the art of entertaining in Saint-Germain-en-Laye. Thus, we combine our hotel and restaurant activities into a unique identity.

This new logo incorporates strong elements of Cazaudehore’s identity.

Timelessness, by its typography.

This sans serif writing draws indeed its appearance of fonts used on posters dating from the beginning of the XXth century, period of creation of Cazaudehore. Its transformation into a digital font is in a way the safeguard of a typographic heritage.
But, irony of history, its rather broad, geometric and warm personality makes it a very modern, clear and recognized writing.

Attachment to Art, by the use of Beatrice Guichard’s sculpture “Déjeuner sur l’Herbe”.

Art is omnipresent at Cazaudehore, from the garden where this monumental sculpture is, to the plates of Chef Gregory Balland, through the decoration of the restaurant as hotel rooms or the organization of Jazzaudehore evenings.
Each piece presented, whether classical or contemporary, responds to a need for open-mindedness, to allow discovery.
In this sculpture, some will see the letter M, as for Home (“Maison” in French), since one does not go “to” Cazaudehore but “at” Cazaudehore’s, personifying the Art of Living and Receiving.

Nature, by the oak leaf

At the heart of the oak forest of Saint-Germain-en-Laye, nature is one of our great riches … would it be for this reason that this leaf is “made of” gold?
It also brings us calm, freshness … and desires of ballads as idleness.
Even before the creation of “certification labels”, its preservation and maintenance have been part of the family’s strong commitment since 1928.

For all these reasons, this new logo embodies both the elegance, history, future & know-how of our house, resolutely turned towards the 3rd millennium and its challenges, be they technological, environmental & human.
